End of the project
news

Realization of the complimentary program of the Polish – German ‘Hope’ Foundation from Szamotuły is drawing to a close. Out of a hundred young inhabitants of Szamotuły Poviat, taking part in the project, as many as 93 joined the labor market. ‘It is a huge success for the Foundation and confirmation of purposefulness and rightness of our assumptions’ – says Maciej Adamski, the project director.

 

The 14th of June, Saturday, at the Palace in Białokosz a festive end of the program took place. The Foundation Authorities invited people working on the realization of the ‘Swiss Watch’ project and the project partners. The Starost and the Mayor of Szamotuły also made their appearance. The project director summarized the 4-year-period of the program realization, thanked the partners and the collaborators for their huge engagement at work for the benefit of young people. He also emphasized that the ‘Swiss Watch’ project in the Szamotuły version grew as a synonym of perfection, effectiveness and the pragmatism of Wielkopolska: ‘Our program was noticed and its effects aroused interest. In the Ministry of Regional Development as well. I can’t negate, that it may help us getting the European Union means for our new programs. We have already submitted projects to the Voivodeship Labor Office’, added Maciej Adamski.

The Board and Council meeting

The 14th of June, Saturday, at the Palace in Bałokosz, a yearly meeting of the German – Polish ‘Hope’ Foundation Board and Council took place.

 

A group of seven public figures from Rhauderfehn representing the German part of the Foundation and nine delegates from Szamotuły took part in the conference. The Council President Edmund Zawadzki welcomed the guests and began the conference. The director presented the Foundation activity report in 2007 and introduced financial results for the reporting period to the Council and the participants. The financial report was unanimously accepted and the exoneration of the Council was given. According to the organization statute this year a New Foundation Council was supposed to be selected for the two-year-term. According to the Foundation Board will the staff remained the same – Edmund Zawadzki remained in force as the Council President, and Herbert Broich as the Deputy President.

Maciej Adamski, the executive director, presented the Foundation activities project for 2008 to the participants and suggested the discussion on the meaning of further selling the agricultural machines maintenance. Profits of such activities being kept by the Foundation has drastically dropped during last years, and carrying the deficit activity (according to the prognosis), as said by Maciej Adamski, is ineffectual. The Foundation Board and Council also made a decision considering the organization of the additional autumnal meeting, which will be devoted to working out the new forms of activities.

The 'Swiss Watch' in the Senate

The ‘Swiss Watch’ Project, being realized by the German – Polish ‘Hope’ Foundation from Szamotuły, caused significant concern not only among the members of parliament and the members of senate, but also among the members of the Family and the Social Policy Committee of the both parliament houses.


   In May, the 13th 2008, in the Senate of the Republic of Poland, a meeting of both Parliament’s and Senate’s Family and Social Policy Committee took place. Eight administrators of the most interesting social initiatives being realized by the ESF EQUAL means were asked to take part in the meeting.
   Maciej Adamski, the executive manager of the ‘Hope’ Foundation: ‘It is an enormous honor for us. Our ‘Swiss Watch’ program found itself in the group of the most interesting and the most effective social programs being realized in Poland. For the several minutes of the speech I had the opportunity to present our achievements and future plans. When asked by the members of parliament and the members of senate for the realized details and the possibilities of making the program a universal one I was very pleased. The information considering the effectiveness of our activities raised exceptional emotions among the parliamentarians – it seems that 93 % of the effectiveness for the social activities makes an impression! Even in the Senate of the Republic of Poland.’
   The Committee Members declared their help not only heading for the making possible the continuation of those best in the country ventures but also for directing such genuine ideas to the social groups in need of the support.

Non-Government Organizations Forum

Effective ways of gaining the European Funds, methods of their effective use and the process of making the activities professional in the sphere of the social help were the leading subjects of the Non – Government Organizations of Wielkopolska Forum in Zakrzewo, near Gniezno in 24th – 25th of April. The ‘Hope’ Foundation from Szamotuły, the ‘Swiss Watch’ project administrator, was the organizer of the Forum.
Several dozen of non – government organizations of Wielkopolska took part in the meeting. Among them were those realizing extended project, directed to the wide circle of beneficiaries, such as Caritas, Markot, Barka, Nadzieja, etc.) and those working with narrow groups of people. Presentations of the most interesting projects of the EQUAL Community Initiative: the ‘Swiss Watch’, the ‘Social Economy in practice’ or the ‘Campaign against poverty’ and problems of small organizations aroused a two-day-discussion. And there were a lot of subjects: realization practice and the particular help systems evaluation, projects effectiveness, the problems connected with the influence of the government administration on the connected activities and the cooperation with the partners. Practical comments connected with the cooperation between voivodeship and non-government organizations delivered by the head of Marshal Office - Grzegorz Naranowicz and Magdalena Szerszeń, from the Province Labor Office in Poznań, turned out to be extremely valuable for the Forum participants.

Conference in Zakrzewo

The German – Polish ‘Hope’ Foundation, realizing the ‘Swiss Watch’ Project, organizes the Forum of Nongovernmental Organizations of Wielkopolska at the Palace in Zakrzewo near Gniezno from 24rd till 25th of April 2008.


   The main subject of the meeting, and surely heated discussions, is the problem of financing activities in widely comprehended social help sphere. Not only we will talk about the results of our actions so far, the effectiveness and the direct impact on target groups of beneficiaries, but about the methods of financing our new projects as well. The most expansive nongovernmental organizations and the representatives of the institutions engaged in the European funds distribution are invited to take part in our conference.

'Swiss Clock' project in the Pomerania

The idea of the ‘Swiss Clock’ project brought about considerable interest in the Pomerania. Detailed questions concerning the project and cooperation proposals are the effects of the result presentation worked out in Szamotuły.

The ‘Swiss Clock’ group took part in the two - day conference in Dżwirzyno, organized by the Development Partnership ‘Inherit a job’. The executive director, Maciej Adamski, introduced the presentation prepared especially for the occasion and describing the project results. The presentation brought about series of interesting and detailed questions and caused heated discussion among the conference participants. Impressive effectiveness of the program and innovative and pragmatic approach to the unemployment problem caused enormous interest. Definite declarations of the cooperation also appeared.

The Coucil and the Board meeting

In December, 15th, 2007 in Rauderfehn, Germany the general annual meeting of the German – Polish ‘Hope’ Foundation Council and Board took place. The meeting was conducted by Helmut Collmann, the Foundation Council Chairman. The most important financial documents for the years 2006 and 2007 were analyzed and approved. The Foundation plans for the next years were also discussed.

The group from Szamotuły in Kraków

The representatives of the ‘Swiss Clock’ project administrated by the ‘Hope’ Foundation from Szamotuły participated in the conference ‘Active support of social and vocational integration’ organized in Kraków by the University and the Roma Society in Poland. In the respectable and prestigious interiors of the Collegium Maius, the executive director of the Foundation, Maciej Adamski, introduced the scholars and the people engaged in the matter the social concept and the results of the project activities. Enormous interest of the ‘Roma in the globalization process. The social and cultural changes’ conference and the scholarly symposium participants inspired unprecedented in the social activities sphere over 90 % of the program effectiveness and genuine, universal idea of the cooperation of self-government units with non-governmental organizations. The film part of the presentation, introduced by Maciej Adamski, concerning the issues of the direct influence of the project on the labor market and the condition of the local enterprises was also very important for the meeting participants.
It is proper to mention the immediate results of the visit in Karków. The ‘Roma Society in Poland’ declared the interest in the program and proposed the ‘Hope’ Foundation the idea of creating the common social project realized in the Roma environment.

The discerning inspection

The German - Polish "Hope" Foundation conducted the next, earlier planned inspection among the employers taking part in the "Swiss Watch" Project. The inspection concerned 52 companies, which employ young people - the project final beneficiaries.

Councilors in the Netherlands

The Dutch organization cooperating with the German – Polish ‘Hope’ Foundation invited the group of public figures from Szamotuły to visit and learn about the Couleur Twente project activities in Hengelo.
The group from Szamotuły, part of which were councilors Karolina Borowczak and Przemysław Fąferek, Iwona Kwatera form the Social Help Center, Leszek Klijewski from the Social Integration Center and Kamila Wołyńska from the German – Polish ‘Hope’ Foundation, were familiarized with the idea and methods of realizing the genuine social project, directed to the handicapped, unemployed and socially excluded people. The meetings with the project participants, consultations with the educational staff, conversations with the councilors helped the group from Szamotuły realize the difference in the approach to the handicapped people in both countries. Our group was impressed by the genuine and professional approach to such difficult matter and the level of funds assigned for the activities. The amount of twenty four thousand euros a year for one beneficiary arouses imagination but ‘without such money a lot can be done – the most important is the idea!’ – state the delegation participants.

At the end of September, in the Novotel Marina hotel in Gdańsk, the all-Polish conference on the "European Union means and the non governmental organizations in the fight against the unemployment - the truths and the myths".

The meeting organizers: the German - Polish "Hope" Foundation from Szamotuły, the "Swiss Watch" project administrator and the Social Self-help Association in Barcin, the "Stand up, lift your head" project administrator invited a group of influential administrative authorities and prepared an interesting and diverse agenda.

THE VISIT IN KASSEL

In November, 4th 2007 in Kassel, Germany, three-year-period of the Transnational cooperation of the non governmental organizations conducting the social activities was summarized.

The cooperation, realized within the EQUAL TALE project was supposed to work out most favorable, effective methods of helping the young people with the social exclusion problems. Representatives of the hosts, the partnerships for the Netherlands, Spain and the German - Polish "Hope" Foundation administrating the "Swiss Watch" project arrived for the conference.

Prawie setka beneficjentów programu "Szwajcarski zegarek" rozpoczęła końcowe egzaminy w prowadzonej przez Fundację Niemiecko-Polską "Nadzieja" policealnej szkole. Egzaminy kończą dwuletni cykl nauki, po którym młodzi ludzie z terenu Powiatu Szamotulskiego zdobędą tytuł technika w wybranych specjalnościach. Nie tylko tytuł - również stałą pracę w lokalnych przedsiębiorstwach. Takie właśnie założenia przyjęła Fundacja realizując autorski program "Szwajcarski zegarek" - zapewnienie beneficjentom pracy przez 36 miesięcy z jednoczesnym szkoleniem w wybranym przez młodzież i przedsiębiorców zawodzie. Sesja egzaminacyjna zakończy się okolicznościową imprezą 30 czerwca w Zespole Szkół nr 3 w Szamotułach.

Pracodawcy uczestników projektu "Szwajcarski zegarek"
Uprzejmie przypominam, że zgodnie z § 5 p.1 zawartej między nami umowy o współpracy i zasadach refundacji czerwiec 2007r. to ostatni miesiąc, za który Fundacja dokona zwrotu wynagrodzeń uczestników "Szwajcarskiego zegarka" w wysokości ustalonej w umowie.
Proszę w związku z tym aby najdalej do 31 lipca br. złożyć w Fundacji komplet dokumentów uprawniających do dokonania refundacji za czerwiec i poprzednie miesiące. Dokumenty złożone po tym terminie nie będą mogły zostać przyjęte, ponieważ na początku sierpnia wysyłamy do naszej Instytucji Zarządzającej komplet dokumentacji rozliczającej otrzymaną dotację.

w związku z likwidacją od 01.01.2007r. deklaracji PIT-4 począwszy od 2007 roku płatnicy będą przekazywać do US tylko kwoty pobranych zaliczek na podatek. (Raz do roku trzeba będzie sporządzić deklarację i złożyć ją w US, w terminie do końca stycznia roku następującego po roku podatkowym.) W związku z powyższym od 01.01.2007 zmianie ulega dokumentowanie wydatku na podatek od osób fizycznych. Udokumentować i rozliczać to można dołączając przelew do Urzędu Skarbowego i oświadczenie (oświadczenie do US znajdujące się w komunikacie nr 1).
